Celebrate Independence Day at the Jake Jackson Museum!
This 4th of July, step into the rich history of Trinity County, and explore the new exhibits at the museum and the carriage barn.
The Stamp Mill will be running throughout the day. Listen for the whistle, and come by to see first-hand how the ore was processed using steam power.
Bring the whole family for a day filled with discovery, heritage, and hometown pride - right here in the heart of Trinity County.

Summer hours 2026
The museum is currently open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop in and check out the new displays on both floors of the museum, and out in the carriage barn!

RAFFLE FUNDRAISER
Win a special edition engraved Henry .22 caliber lever action Golden Boy. The Redding and Weaverville stage is engraved on the stock of this one-of-a-kind rifle.
Tickets are $10.00 each, or 3 for $ 20.00.
The drawing will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Spring Spruce Up
The Spring Spruce up, where volunteers come together to help take care of our historical treasures.
Lectures
The Trinity County Historical Society invites speakers to present on various historical topics. Programs are held monthly from November through May at the First Baptist Church, 1261 Main Street, Weaverville. The June program is our annual picnic, held at a different site (to be announced) each year.
Trinity County Historical Society Monthly Meetings
The Historical Society meets once a month on the Wednesday before each scheduled monthly program. As a Board we are focused on taking care of the monthly business of the Jake Jackson Museum, and new members are always welcome.
