  • Volunteers Welcome

The Jake Jackson Museum is always seeking new volunteers. If you think you’d like to become a docent or would like to help in the history center, please feel free to come in and introduce yourself to our friendly receptionists. We look forward to meeting you!

  • Independence Day, 2025

Both the Paymaster Mine Stamp Mill and the blacksmith shop were up and running during the July 4, 2025 Independence Day festivities in historic downtown Weaverville. We had many visitors to the museum, the history park, and the wagon barn. It was great seeing all of you and we hope you’ll come back to see us soon.

  • TC Historical Society Monthly Programs

Our annual picnic and program will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Bar 717 Ranch in Hyampom.

The ranch was founded in 1930 by Grover and Erma Gates, and is currently managed by their grandson Kent Collard as an accredited co-ed summer camp.
