ANNUAL PICNIC
We hope to see you at our annual picnic on Saturday, June 13, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Alpen Cellars Winery. The program will be about the history of this historic site - formerly the Whipple Ranch from 1941 - 1977, and the Wagner Ranch from 1927 - 1941. It has been the home of Alpen Cellars for 45 years.
The Historical Society is providing the hotdogs and water. Please side dishes, salads, or desserts to share, and also a chair for yourself.
Alpen Cellars is located at 2000 E. Fork Road, Trinity Center.
This will be the last program for the year, and we’ll resume our monthly meetings and programs in the fall.

Summer hours 2026
The museum is currently open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop in and check out the new displays on both floors of the museum, and out in the carriage barn!

RAFFLE FUNDRAISER
Win a special edition engraved Henry .22 caliber lever action Golden Boy. The Redding and Weaverville stage is engraved on the stock of this one-of-a-kind rifle.
Tickets are $10.00 each, or 3 for $ 20.00.'
The drawing will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Spring Spruce Up
The Spring Spruce up, where volunteers come together to help take care of our historical treasures.
Lectures
The Trinity County Historical Society invites speakers to present on various historical topics. Programs are held monthly from November through May at the First Baptist Church, 1261 Main Street, Weaverville. The June program is our annual picnic, held at a different site (to be announced) each year.
Trinity County Historical Society Monthly Meetings
The Historical Society meets once a month on the Wednesday before each scheduled monthly program. As a Board we are focused on taking care of the monthly business of the Jake Jackson Museum, and new members are always welcome.
