  • FIRST ANNUAL NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM GALA

We’re hosting our first Jim French Night at the Museum on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm.

There will be food, wine, and fun, with music provided by The French Connection. We’ll be providing behind-the-scenes tours of the History Center and the archives, too.

Tickets are on sale now. Please see our Facebook pages for more information, or call the museum at (530) 623-5211.

  • Winter hours 2026

The museum is currently closed for Christmas and New Year’s week. We re-open on Saturday, January 3, 2026, and will begin winter hours, open Wednesday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • TC Historical Society Monthly Programs

‍JOIN US FOR OUR MONTHLY PROGRAM at the North Fork Grange Hall in Junction City on April 11, 2026, to learn about the U.S. law that banned Chinese immigration.

Passed in 1882, the Chinese Exclusion Act was the first major U.S. law restricting immigration, explicitly banning Chinese laborers from entering the country for ten years due to racial animosity and economic competition.

Dero Forslund will talk about what led up to the exclusion act, and the effect it had after it was enacted, particularly the role California played in it.

We hope you'll join us at 2:00 p.m. at the North Fork Grange Hall in Junction City for our potluck, with the program following at 3:00 p.m. You don’t need to be a member to attend.
