TC Historical Society Monthly Programs
For the March program, the Trinity County Historical Society will feature guest speaker Scott Morris on Saturday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. for the potluck with the featured program starting at 3:00 p.m.
The program will be on the genesis and history of the Weaver Basin Trail System and how it came to be. Scott will discuss many of the historically significant features of the basin train system and future potential for sharing our historical and natural history with visitors to Trinity County.
Over 50 miles of connecting trails wind through various climatic zones and along mountain streams and numerous mining sites. The Weaver Basin Trail System has become nationally and internationally recognized as an important mountain biking and multiuser trail system.
Come join us on March 8 and learn more about what’s right out your back door! Both the meeting and presentation will be at the Baptist Church in Weaverville. We hope to see you there.

Lectures
The Trinity County Historical Society invites speakers to present on various historical topics. Programs are held monthly from November through May at the First Baptist Church, 1261 Main Street, Weaverville. The June program is our annual picnic, held at a different site (to be announced) each year.

Trinity County Historical Society Monthly Meetings
The Historical Society meets once a month on the Wednesday before each scheduled monthly program. As a Board we are focused on taking care of the monthly business of the Jake Jackson Museum, and new members are always welcome.
